FAQs
1. What inspires your artwork?
My art is deeply inspired by my journey of self-discovery and emotional exploration. It reflects the tensions in my life, including my British-Iranian heritage, and explores themes like freedom, control, and connection. Colour, storytelling, and mixed media are at the heart of my creative process.
At this stage, I am not offering custom commissions due to limited time and the absence of a dedicated studio space. This may change in the future, so stay connected for updates.
2. Can I commission a custom piece of artwork?
3. What types of artwork are available in your shop?
My shop offers original illustrations, canvases, framed and unframed works, and limited edition Giclée prints. If you’re looking for something specific, feel free to explore the Portfolio section or contact me directly.
Yes, all my artworks are signed, ensuring authenticity and a personal connection to the piece.
4. Are the artworks signed?
5. What is the difference between an original artwork and a Giclée print?
Original artworks are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces created directly by me using mixed media. Giclée prints are high-quality reproductions of these originals, printed using archival inks on museum-grade paper. Prints are a more accessible way to enjoy my work.
I use mixed media, which allows me to layer textures, colours, and forms to create a unique visual language. This approach reflects the complexity of emotions and stories I aim to convey.
6. What materials and techniques do you use in your artwork?
7. Can I see more of your work that’s not listed in the shop?
Absolutely! My Portfolio section showcases additional works, including some poems and spoken words. If you see something you’re interested in, email me to inquire about availability.
Certificates of Authenticity are only available for prints, guaranteeing their quality and provenance.
8. Do your artworks come with certificates of authenticity?
9. What are Giclée prints, and why are they special?
Giclée prints are produced using archival-quality pigmented inks and acid-free, pH-neutral papers or canvas. They offer exceptional depth of colour, longevity, and stability, ensuring museum-grade quality. Each print is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
While framing isn’t something I typically include, I’m happy to help you find suitable frames in Cambridge if needed. Please note:
• You would be responsible for the cost of the frame and any additional expenses.
• Framed items require special packaging due to the inclusion of glass, which will significantly increase shipping costs.
If you’d like to explore framing options, feel free to email me or book a chat to discuss further.
10. Do you offer framing for your artwork?
11.Can I return or exchange a purchase if I change my mind?
• Prints: International orders are non-refundable. Domestic UK orders have a 7-day refund policy for unframed prints.
• Original Artworks and Framed Items: Non-refundable due to the high costs of bespoke packaging and courier services.
• UK Mainland: Allow 7–10 days for production and shipping from the date of dispatch.
• International Orders: Allow up to 15 days for production and shipping from the date of dispatch.
All orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.
Prints sent via Royal Mail typically arrive within 3–7 working days for domestic orders.
For more details, see the Shipping Policy.
12. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
13. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I ship internationally. For international orders, you will need to contact me through the Contact Me section and provide your shipping details before making a purchase. I will raise a shipping quote for you, and if you agree to the cost, I will add the shipping charge to the website so you can complete your purchase. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can arrange a bank transfer for the full amount.
Please note that I cannot be liable for any customs charges, import taxes, or delays caused by customs processes in your country. These are the responsibility of the buyer.
I use Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) in Cambridge for international shipments to ensure professional handling and secure delivery.
Artwork is carefully packaged to ensure its safety during transit. For original works, bespoke packaging is used, including protective sleeves, corner guards, and double-boxing where necessary. Prints are shipped in sturdy tubes or flat packaging, depending on their size.
I work with Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) in Cambridge for most shipping needs, ensuring professional handling and secure delivery. Domestic UK prints are shipped directly from the printers using packaging designed to ensure their safe arrival.
14. How is the artwork packaged for shipping?
15. What should I do if my artwork arrives damaged?
It’s best to take photos while unboxing to document the condition of the goods. If you notice any damage, contact me immediately with the photos, and I will assist you in resolving the issue.
While many of my works are accompanied by poems or spoken words, these are not included with the purchase. However, you can view them in the shop alongside the artworks.
16. Are your poems or spoken words included with the artwork?
17. Can I purchase prints in custom sizes?
Yes, prints are available in sizes up to two sizes larger than the original:
• For A4 originals: Prints can be ordered in A3 and A2 sizes.
• For A5 originals: Prints can be ordered in A4 and A3 sizes.
If your preferred size isn’t listed, feel free to contact me to discuss custom options.
If you see something in the Portfolio section that you’d like as a print, please contact me to explore the possibilities.
I don’t offer payment plans directly, but you can choose PayPal’s “Pay in 3” option at checkout. This allows you to split the cost of your purchase into three interest-free payments: the first payment is made at the time of purchase, and the remaining two are paid monthly.
PayPal handles the entire process, and I receive the full amount upfront. Please note, “Pay in 3” is subject to approval and is available for UK residents aged 18+ for purchases between £30 and £2,000. Be sure to review the terms and conditions carefully before selecting this option.
18. Do you offer payment plans for larger purchases?
19. How should I care for and display my artwork?
To maintain the quality of your artwork, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or moisture. For framed pieces, consider using non-reflective or UV-protective glass to help preserve the work. When hanging, ensure the artwork is kept away from heat sources and areas with fluctuating temperatures, such as near radiators or windows.
You can book a call, send me an email, or contact me directly via the details on the website. I’m happy to assist with any questions or requests.
20. What is the best way to contact you for further inquiries?
21. Why are your canvases shipped rolled?
Canvases are shipped rolled to reduce shipping costs and ensure safe delivery. Shipping a stretched canvas requires significantly larger packaging and higher courier fees.
By rolling the canvas, I can provide a more cost-effective option for international and domestic shipping. Once received, you can have the canvas re-stretched locally by a professional framer.
For stretched and framed canvases, I already use a local courier service. However, if a “man with a van” service proves to be a better option for your delivery, I’m open to exploring that to find the best solution for your needs.
Please note that stretched and framed canvases require bespoke packaging, which will increase shipping costs considerably. Contact me for a quote if this is something you’d like to explore.
Refunds are not offered for certain items due to the significant costs associated with bespoke packaging, shipping, and handling original or framed artworks. Currently, I only charge clients for shipping and absorb the cost of packaging myself. This means I would incur a loss if an item were returned, as packaging costs can be substantial.
However, if you are willing to cover the cost of packaging and any additional expenses incurred, I am open to discussing exceptions. This must be agreed upon before purchase to ensure clarity and alignment for both parties.
For full details, please refer to the Returns Policy on the website.
