Description:
Created during Chapter 2 (2020 - 2023), this piece is part of the Versions of Robert Collection—a deeply personal body of work reflecting my journey through my mother’s stroke, dissociation, and eventual dementia. This period of my life involved immense inner soul work, each piece acting as a page in a diary, often accompanied by a poem or story.
A meditation on identity, perception, and the masks we wear, this work explores the tension between self-awareness and projection. Do we see two people, or a reflection? Are they confined within a box, or looking into a mirror? The boundaries between truth and illusion, self and expectation, and inner versus outer reality blur in the abstract composition, inviting the viewer to question their own image in the world.
A reflective piece on the duality of self and the narratives we choose to carry, inviting the viewer to step beyond their own illusions.

Giclée Print | Which Side of You
by Robert Paul:
Which Side of You
..
Which side of yourself will you show today
Will you believe your box of social media
Will you shake free your talking shadows
and projected wanted stories
Will you walk away from the stage you’re keeping alive
..
Come listen to the whispers of letting go
of your ego and hearing your heart
..
With love,
Inner soul
..
