Description:
Created between 2012 - 2015, during what I call Mid-Chapter 1—a phase within my artistic journey spanning 2006 - 2020. This piece is part of the Telastory Collection/Series, an exploration of storytelling, connection, and the unseen layers of existence.
“The Doorway of Time” is a portal—a threshold between the inner and outer worlds. In my work, I use the number 13 to represent the inner world (the inner soul), while 3 represents the outer soul. Just as the Earth is divided into an inner and outer core, so too is the soul—a delicate balance of what lies within and what we present to the world.
This illustration is the doorway to the inner soul, an entry point to deeper self-reflection and personal understanding. The layers of intricate patterns, surreal forms, and fragmented storytelling create a visual landscape that invites the viewer to step through and explore.
________________
When creating Telastory, I was thinking about theatre, the stage, and the art of storytelling. It was about engaging an audience in a world where stories could be shared, evolved, and expanded upon. A creative hub where voices could be heard, and narratives could be shaped collectively.
This piece embodies that vision:
• A storytelling space, allowing people to add to, swap, and collect stories.
• A platform for collaboration, where art is a conversation rather than a statement.
• A place to listen to our inner voice, to inspire and awaken each other.
• A neutral, safe space, free from borders, division, or the need to be “right.”
In a conflicted world, I hope to use art and storytelling as a means of co-creating a new understanding—one that encourages tolerance, openness, and a deeper connection to ourselves and each other.
This illustration is more than a static piece; it is an invitation to engage, to reflect, and to contribute to the story.
