Description:
Created between 2012 - 2015, during what I call Mid-Chapter 1—a phase within my artistic journey spanning 2006 - 2020. This piece is part of the Telastory Collection/Series, an exploration of storytelling, connection, and artistic collaboration.
How will you see the extra hour of the subconscious?
The 13th hour.
How will you see yourself within this time?
A magnifying glass reveals more than just detail—it uncovers stories, perceptions, and the pieces of ourselves we often overlook. This illustration is filled with layered words, symbols, and questions, challenging the viewer to look deeper, to observe, to reflect.
Words and Stories Interwoven Into the Piece:
• “Follow me, and I will show you.”
• “What is old is a conversation with now.”
• “Driven to journey to the soul.”
• “Who will you remember when the day has vanished?”
• “What will we remember when the hours are gone?”
• “The story of the hunter—his desire held him for too long.”
• “The journey contemplates the story of the past. She enters the story of the magnifying glass.”
• “The greatness is in each other.”
• “Many lives, love, kindness, many hearts. Believe.”
The mirrored butterfly touches the soul, symbolising transformation, fragility, and the fleeting nature of time. The circle of time loops endlessly, a reminder that understanding is found not in rigid answers but in exploration and perception.
_____
When creating Telastory, I was thinking about theatre, the stage, and the art of storytelling. It was about engaging an audience in a world where stories could be shared, evolved, and expanded upon. A creative hub where voices could be heard, and narratives could be shaped collectively.
This piece embodies that vision:
• A storytelling space, allowing people to add to, swap, and collect stories.
• A platform for collaboration, where art is a conversation rather than a statement.
• A place to listen to our inner voice, to inspire and awaken each other.
• A neutral, safe space, free from borders, division, or the need to be “right.”
In a conflicted world, I hope to use art and storytelling as a means of co-creating a new understanding—one that encourages tolerance, openness, and a deeper connection to ourselves and each other.
This illustration is more than a static piece; it is an invitation to engage, to reflect, and to contribute to the story.
